The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is pleased to announce the XIV International Scientific Conference “Space, Society, Politics in the Era of Crises: Reorganizing Order and Socio-Political Transformation,” to be held on June 25–26, 2026.
In the context of accelerating global transformations, contemporary societies are increasingly shaped by multifaceted crises-geopolitical instability, economic uncertainty, environmental challenges, technological disruptions, and shifting social structures. These processes call for renewed theoretical reflection and innovative methodological approaches within the social and political sciences. The conference seeks to provide an interdisciplinary platform for critical discussion of how crises reshape spatial configurations, social relations, and political orders at local, regional, and global levels.
We invite Georgian and international scholars and PhD candidates from diverse fields of the social and political sciences to submit abstract addressing the above mentioned topic.
Conference Format and Languages
The working languages of the conference are Georgian and English.
The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, including both in-person and online sessions.
Publication Opportunities
All accepted abstracts will be peer-reviewed and published online.
Participants will have the opportunity to submit full papers for consideration in the international scientific journal Environment and Society (es.tsu.ge), indexed in Google Scholar.
